The Arthritis Walk® is the Arthritis Foundation’s annual nationwide event that raises awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation’s most common cause of disability. It is a tremendous opportunity to help improve the lives of the 46 million men, women and children doctor-diagnosed with arthritis.
The Arthritis Foundation Southern Maryland Branch is holding it's 16th Annual Walk for Arthritis at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, MD. The Walk will take place on Saturday, May 16th from 7:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. This is our biggest event of the year and should prove to be even bigger in 2009 with our special guest, Olympic Gold Medalist Ms. Mary Lou Retton, joining the Annapolis Arthritis Walk.

Contest Rules
In order to be eligible for the Limo Ride to the Arthritis Walk With Mary Lou Retton , you must be registered to participate in the 2009 Annapolis Arthritis Walk. You must register online by clicking the red "Sign Up" button above or call 410-544-5433.
Once you have registered, begin collecting monies!
All monies must be delivered by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2009 to: Arthritis Foundation Southern Maryland Branch, 714 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Severna Park, MD 21146.
The registered person who delivers the most money by 5:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2009, to the Arthritis Foundation Southern Maryland Branch, 714 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Severna Park, MD 21146 is declared the winner and will be notified by telephone. So make sure to include all of your contact information on all materials.
The winner and one parent or adult chaperone will receive a limousine ride to the 2009 Annapolis Arthritis Walk with 1984 Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast Mary Lou Retton.
Our theme this year is "Kids Get Arthrits & Dogs Too." Since 2006 we have had a Juvenile Arthritis Ambassador Ceremony. This ceremony is where a youth, teen, adult and even a "canine" arthritis sufferer give each other medals of honor in recognition of their courageous battle with arthritis.
Get your company involved or recruit friends and family members to form a team. Best of all, walk in honor of a loved one with arthritis and know you’re making a difference by raising funds to support Arthritis Foundation research, public health and public policy efforts to improve the lives of people with arthritis.
By registering for the 2009 Arthritis Walk, you are also becoming a part of Let's Move Together®, a nationwide movement led by the Arthritis Foundation. Let's Move Together® encourages people to move to prevent or treat arthritis.
